The rock we perish on. If we gave a clear plan and stuck to it, even if they didn’t like the plan, you’d be in better stead.
I went out at 6pm there a few weeks ago for 3 pints and be home in time to put the kids to bed when dancing with the stars was over.
I’d 3 pints drank before dancing with the stars started and sent about 8 cheery “on the way now” messages none of which had any detail or substance about how exactly I was coming home or with whom.
I got home at 1am. Sideways. I’d to get her to bring the kids to school then to put the tin hat on it as I wasn’t fit to drive.

Perhaps it is our interpretations and anticipations of silences, unanswered texts and unoffered approvals that claw at our confidences and erode our equilibriums.
