Is there an iphone/ipad app?

I know we’re all generally whiny cunts here but some fellas are really exposing themselves badly here. Get over it ffs, we’ve survived without il bomber destro, we’ll survive without you. Sling your hook.

Where did you go for those few weeks mate?

Yeah, it was one click. The new way you either randimly scroll for ages or have to type in a number. It’s far worse.

You could only ever skip ahead 2-3 pages at a time though - this method is far superior.

I might just do that MBB.

That’d be disappointing to hear if true.

Agree rating.

One or two clicks as opposed to random scrolling interrupted by waiting for pages to load or having to type a number into a box? No, it’s not superior, it’s greatly added to the time or number of clicks/inputs needed.

I’m using the mobile site by the way. Maybe this blue box has better functionality on desktop or something.

Scrolling to a random part of a topic is just the same as clicking on a random page number. There is not more time taken to load additional posts as you scroll down than waiting for a page to load when you moved pages. It’s quicker now.

If you’re on a keyboard I urge you to try the keyboard shortcuts. G # 255 is infinitely quicker than anything we had before.

I can understand the lack of pages being new but I can’t see why people grew attached to clicking and page numbers and waiting a few seconds for a page load instead of scrolling and waiting far less time for a page to load. And I understand there’s an extra click to go to a specific arbitrary post/“page” but that’s 2 clicks in total, you had to click an awful lot more on the old forum.

I’m not surprised at the replies and quotes uproar. I think that’s controversial. I think the scrolling is a vast improvement.

What’s this random reference you keep making glas? Avoiding posts by clicking to skip 2 pages is just as random as scrolling or clicking straight to a random future point.

I’m fairly sure the scrolling won’t seem anything like as big an issue for people when they get used to it and once they visit topics for the second or subsequent time.

I found the one click approach rather than 4 or 5 strokes of my thumb on the phone a far more effective way to navigate Rocko. Especially so if there’s been a high volume of posts since your last visit.

Here @Rocko the FAQs aren’t FAQs at all. They’re not even questions, they’re a series of annoying directives.

One question. When you see a grey circle beside a topic with a number in it. What does that mean?

Number of replies since you last read the thread. Blue if you’ve posted in it, Grey if you haven’t.

Will take a gamble on this.

a prompt from rocko to move your tongue from his hole onto his ballbag, perhaps?

Number of replies that were in that topic which you haven’t read but which were also unread last time you visited. So less brand new than blue which you haven’t been aware of before.
