TFK International Business Travel Thread

No, I did three FATs out there and was doing long days so didn’t see a whole lot of the surrounding areas. I did go down around the Castle one night which was nice and another evening the PM from the vendor took us up to the top of the hill where that glacial cable car goes and there is a beautiful view. Other than that it was a dinner of schweinehaxe and hefeweizens in the hotel

Yeah they love their pork meet. The danes must dump all the offcuts down to Germany and keep the good stuff for themselves.
Yeah the castle is nice alright, will check out the cable car this time around. Should have a half day to myself somewhere.

You could swim in the Vats of Hefeweizen. Germany is a lovely place for a visit. I must go back again soon.

Yeah if I could live and work in one country in Europe that would be it. The Germans dont have your stereotypical attitude to work as people think and its not uncommon for them to have a couple of beers for lunch. They are quietly efficient and dont get too excited. Americans on the other hand get very excited and are not quietly efficient. They perceive themselves to work very long hours but in real terms they dont.

Exactly mate.

One minute you’re suffering from sleep deprivation the next you’re organising a little holiday for yourself. Which is it?

It looks like I’ll be off to Tokyo in April for a week. Has anyone travelled there for work and any recommendations on ideal routes / connections? Connecting through London seems like the best option from what I can see in terms of straight forwardness and overall journey time.

Johnnys having a strange week

I’m all over the shop. The weekend is almost here and I am falling over the finish line.

Walking into walls and talking to blue shirts. I don’t know which is worse.

Don’t forget to vote left and transfer left tomorrow, Johnny boy.

I had 3 hours sleep last night and 5 the night before. Its fair to say I am not operating at my full faculties.

First kid yeah?

Yeah. Hopefully the scar tissue of this experience will stand to me next time around.

Will do mate. Is Ă© de dualgas atĂĄ orainn chun VĂłtĂĄil Sinn FĂ©in.

The only left thing an international business traveller should do is turn left.

They do work very long hours, because it takes them longer to do work. I’ve found American engineers to be meticulous and very intuitive. On the downside, they want to fucking talk about every decision and are always planning fucking meetings.

The reason they are inefficient is because they are suffocated by middle management cunts scheduling 6 1hour long meetings a day to talk shite. The poor cunts have to work 12 hours to get 2/3rds of a days work done.

And every minute of every hour of a call will be used.

Every big organisation should keep a list of who’s calling the most meetings every month and fire that person
