Iā€™d be grand with all that bar the mosquitoes.
Fcuk that.

The Scandinavian beaches arenā€™t a bad place to while away a few hours I found. The water is freezing, sand not much to write home about and the waves barely break knee height. But thereā€™s plenty else just toplessly traipsing by, wave after wave, to keep a man entertained.

I was out when he said that too. The absolute cunts.

The Baltic is absolutely baltic sure

Looking for some powder to piss in.

Spent 10 nights in Trondheim a few years back around this time of year. You could be coming back from a few (extremely expensive) beers well after midnight and it would be like dusk. Disorienting.

I was asked could I go to Malawi in September on a business trip. All of my ā€œbusinessā€ trips I either donā€™t get paid for, or if I do, I donate the money locally. I was asked to help with a professional matter by the national body.
48 hours there. I was reluctant a bit, as itā€™s Manchester-heathrow, Heathrow -joberg, joberg-malawi and back, but said Iā€™d go. As soon as I said Iā€™d go, they were delighted, and said they would book everything.
Flight details arrived today. All standard class.
FML.

Back on the horse next week. Little or no prep whatsoever done, just booking flights here now, what do I need to fly to another EU country? Have check in/documentation procedures returned to pre covid ways?

There is an app called Re-Open EU which lists all regulations. I havenā€™t seen any checks this summer however.

Itā€™s pretty much back to normal, thereā€™s a couple of outliers still and you need to look at the local mask rules for public places and transport

You need to fill out a form that no one will ever look for

Bring a face mask with you just in case. Public transport in Austria for example, you still have to wear masks. At least you did last month.

Same for Italy - got caught short once or twice with temperamental bus drivers

What form is this?!

Has anyone flown on the last flight back to Dublin out of Heathrow T2 mid week recently? EI 183 @ 21.10?

Any idea how security has been? I am on it Thursday. Would be landing into the security queue at Heathrow for 20.00. No baggage to check in and already checked in. Iā€™d say Iā€™ll be fine? @LionelRitchie

Havenā€™t had to do London in a while tbh so am of no help.

States week after next with few internal flights Iā€™m not looking forward to

Iā€™m off to Malawi for 3 days. In economy. Shudder.

Fuck that! In saying that I only travel around Europe and itā€™s always in Economy.

Could you buy and expense Fast Track or some equivalent just to be on the safe side? Iā€™d never be leaving anything to chance in Heathrow

Iā€™ve to go Manchester London, London Joburg, Joburg Malawi, three days work (for free) and back.
They didnā€™t let on they could only afford economy until I said Iā€™d go and help.
Colleagues find this highly entertaining.
I couldnā€™t actually care less travelling economy short haul, but given Iā€™m expected to actually arrive and do three days hard graft, and itā€™s a government organization, Iā€™d really like a bed for the London Joburg bit.
:grimacing:
Iā€™ll come slightly clean and say itā€™s premium economy, but still. I love the beds on a plane. The decadence of some pretty young lady greeting you by name as you board, and then offering to make your bed. And itā€™s so dark and quiet and comfy and the drone of the engine is soothing. I love the cabins on the ferry for the same reason.
