I’d did eight hours + on a bus across Zambia. Scenery was class. We saw a few elephants and heaps of warthogs. Needed a shite and the toilet stop halfway was a hole in the ground with six sheets of toilet paper left out.

I did a 17 day coast to coast guided bus tour in the States a couple of years ago. One of the best trips I ever had. Once you learn to zone out and be zen it’s the best way to travel. None of the stress of driving and you see everything - far more than you’d see from below in a railway cutting.
