[quote=“W.B. Yeats”]Berlin is a savage spot.
Very funky and alternative city. All the freaks in Germany gravitated there in the old days and they stayed there. Hotels.com should get you a decent hotel for an ok amount.
Mitte is the best spot to stay- stay on the East side if you can, should be cheaper also less corporate.
Did a great walking tour there a few years ago, takes an afternoon and is a great intro to the city.
The museum island is fantastic altogether.
I’m trying to book a weekend skiing but the flights are yoyoing up and down and I’m waiting for the optimum moment.
I need to take the missus (pregnant) away for a weekend soon- either in Ireland or a very short flight away. Any suggestions?

What? You’re openly admitting you’re planning on proposing on this site? Christ man, I worry about you sometimes.

actually while the destination is lyon said question will be popped on the lakeshore of annecy, one of the most beautiful places in the world and also where we spent our first holiday together

A bird I was seeing for a while (once ) did her Ersasmus in Annecy, loved it there and is always going back. Sounds a nice spot in fairness. As for admitting you’re going to pop the question, that’s class
well it’s a medieval town on the shore of acrystal clear lake overlooked by mont blanc, breathtaking and would highly recommend it, close to geneva and lyon

You’re a crazy bastard to admit that on this site. Sure there are loads of lads here that would love to ruin your big day- who was the lad on AFR that was popping the question on the eiffel tower?
Anyway, Annecy is a top spot alright. Was there last week. Had lunch in a lovely Italian looking out at the lake. If you are really going to that part of the world you could do worse than proposing to her on the top of Mt Blanc. A day trip to Chamonix, the cable car up the Aiguille de Midi and Bob’s your uncle.
