Didn’t they fund the whole production? Hard to believe they didn’t make a cent off the success of Riverdance and all the money appears to have been made by people who were working for RTE at the time.
In fairness pat Kenny was four times the presenter tubridy is as well.

As for the 10%, most employment contract would say any IP created during employment is belonging to the employer with the possibility of the employee getting a reward or a small percentage I.e the inverse of what happened with riverdance
Riverdance probably went on for two and a half hours 
The interval show was seven minutes apparently, and you want RTÉ to own it all

You have to think about Riverdance like the Hot House Flowers. The HHF were invited onto the 1988 show but RTE don’t own them. Same as Riverdance.
