Oscar winner Brenda Fricker on with BOC there now.
A troubled soul, the entire interview is harrowing. BOC is playing a blinder.

Listen back to it and thank your blessings….

BOC is excellent

I assume it’s a repeat of her interview from a few months ago, a fascinating character.
My wife is related to her on her mothers (shudder) side, my MIL remembers her very well from Gneeveguilla back in the day,
A tortured soul no doubt

Having the daughter with down syndrome was a total watershed moment for him it seems to me. He went from a total arrogant Sunday indo cunt to having much more empathy while still having a nice bit of cynicism and straight shooting.

BOC was always sound, he was a bit of a loudmouth but was always incredibly popular across all types back in UCC, just for being a nice fella and a great laugh

Don’t always believe what you read on TFK

No I’m going off the way he came across on tv and in newspaper columns. I was in his company a few times during the Celtic tiger era too.
I always kind of liked his dry wit a bit even when he was a full cunt but I definitely noticed a shift in his demeanour after having the daughter. Sure how would that not change you.
Most tfkers still think he’s a total prick I wouldn’t be going off that.

The clipping he got on here certainly straightened him out a bit

You’re right. Totally changed after the daughter was born.

I guess it’s possible that he went from being sound to being a cunt and then back to sound again

The Sunday indo during the Celtic tiger era would do that to the best of men

BOC was a wanker. Couldn’t comment on him now, don’t watch/listen to the state broadcaster, but leopards rarely change their spots…

Has a leopard ever changed its spots?

A fair question in the circumstances. Surely the subject of a PhD…

Your contributions to this thread are genuinely hilarious

RTE makes you very very angry :rofl:
