Well if the political parties can’t afford it, there isn’t a hope the majority of the Independent TD’s that were elected can.

That would be fantastic.[quote=“TreatyStones, post:182, topic:22023, full:true”]

In fairness to Lowry he would’nt discrimnate on the colour of an envelope, I like Mick Wallace but he’s in the minority, the Kerry crowd of HR’s and Matties are only out for themselves which is no better then FG.

Wallace stands for big business and dirty developers mate. Tax fraud and disposing of his assets to family members before the banks could take them off him. All the stage - managed stunts and he’s pulled since won’t cover up his history of self interest.

Labour’s mandate isn’t defined by the people who didn’t vote for them or for the people who weren’t elected. It is defined by what they claimed to stand for when they stood before the electorate.

One more time, it’s hardly surprising that they’re running a mile from their appalling strategies after the calamitous (but expected) election result. But however obvious a strategy it might be, it represents an absolute abandonment and direct contradiction of what they stood for at the election. And they certainly don’t have any mandate or high moral ground or superior justification in opting not to enter government. It’s the culmination of a disastrous run of decisions - a betrayal of what they stood for only a few weeks ago and a clear abdication of responsibility. They pretty much stand apart from everyone else in abandoning their clearly stated possibly so quickly.

Labour are usually fairly quick to jump into the State cars. Surprising they aren’t whoring themselves to the highest bidder this time.

The 1916 centenary will not benefit SF in the event of another election. It has been a very broad event

When there’s another election what’s the story with td’s pensions etc. Are they related to time served or would they be due the full whack on retirement? Are the cunts paid by the week or the month or what? And if some one was elected this time round but failed to get elected in another election in the next few months are they entitled to some sort of redundancy type payment?

They haven’t a short enough skirt this time due to the trimming they got. That’s the only reason. There are no interested punters, otherwise they’d be kegs akimbo.
Wallace is a crook and should be in jail.

What a pushover.

All Kenny wants is the legacy of being the first ever Fine Gael Taoiseach to the be reelected. He will offer FF anything once it involves him staying on as Taoiseach before he steps down next year.

What a selfless act. Up there with those who fought in the GPO. He’s putting Ireland first. One of the greats.

I don’t really see how this is good for FF in the long run though.

It’s very good for SF though.

Enda has lobbed a grenade into the FF tent. Lets sit back and watch them scramble.
