The Anti Rugby Football Thread Pt 2

He hasnā€™t done it in five or six years. He also never ever really done it at international level either.

Heā€™s a cracking player. Wouldnā€™t do any harm starting him or Frisch at 13 against Italy. Ringrose not going to be around forever.

Heā€™s been very impressive but, as you said, very unfit. Pity as he still has a bit about him

It was a terrible reflection of the Leinster out halves they couldnā€™t expose him with tactical kicking.

Best of Zebo was probably over with Racing and Finn Russell. He was probably the best in Europe around that time. Got that brilliant try for Munster in the quarters the same day Limerick lost the League Semi to Tipp in ET. 18ā€™ iirc.

Stocdale looks a confidence player who has rebuilt his career.

He canā€™t defend at all and invariably heā€™ll be exposed at the highest level and lose his confidence again.

Andy Farrell will always go for system type players. Expect Nash to start.

Huge difference to international level.

Its a tough spot, Iā€™d agree Nash is much the better defender but is liable to be skinned by one of the French flying machines on athleticism. There is no perfect solution really.

Heā€™s not an IRFU stooge- heā€™s an actual IRFU employee :joy: Thereā€™s little love for him in Leinster by the way. Heā€™s the lad who facilitated Carbery being sent south (and ruined).

While Nucifora approves various deals there is little to suggest that he had a had in getting Rowntree in or getting Nienanbar into Leinster etc and I havenā€™t heard anything about him looking to keep JVG in. Munster were in the process of offering Van Graan an extension before he decided to leave! Thatā€™s on the Munster board not some weird IRFU conspiracy to do Munster down.

The IRFU you think are trying to do you down are the ones propping up the Munster board financially on the Thomond Park deal by the way ā€¦

TBF, lowe has that defensive frailty in his game and still makes the wrong decision occasionally. But the system has been able to accommodate his poor decision making without coughing up too much.

Could work for Stockdale too.

Watched a bit of Bath on Sunday, theycwere held up over the line on 3 seperate attacks in the second half. It just seemed to be ā€˜everybody do what you wantā€™. Scrum and lineout were good though. Russell looked very clunky.

I think this years 6 N could be a real open competition with all the teams wobbling after the RWC. Ireland will take a dip I think - particularly with the injury list mounting up. Hard to see a win in France although home against Sco/Wales/Italy should all be winnable.

France without their best player (and possibly a few more?) and England are in a rebuild phase. Ireland should win it at their ease.

Be interesting to see if Scots can take a step up. Doing well in club comps. Have some excellent players and great depth in backrow.

Dave me looking out up, anyone know off hand if Scotland have France away or home?

Surely Ireland are in much more of a rebuild phase than anyone else?

5 of the rugby World Cup 15 wonā€™t play.

Is furlong gone too? Hansen, Lowe, sexton and Pom are gone already.

Scrum half going to become an issue too. Murray has completely regressed since the World Cup and Casey isnā€™t firing either.

No. The core of the team will be the same and a significant number of them are likely to be still there and starting for the next few years.

Scrum half going to become an issue too.

The young fella Gunn coming through is a great little player. Be too early for him yet but there is a really good prospect in him.

Doak a lovely player. He should be usurping Casey.

Would you go way. France are in less transition than Ireland.
