What bookie is giving the 6/4 Dublin ?
Will check oddschecker when I get home. Bet365 and someone else were up to a week ago anyway.
Lazarus are you suggesting Tyrone intenionally lose games in the Ulster championship?
Imo Tyrone thrive in Croke Park where their better footballers get more space and the game is refereed properly. Armagh on the other hand have been awful in Croke Park in recent years and the performance of Cross in the club final would suggest that this trait will continue.
Will we get a prediction competition going?
thats a good idea phil
3 out of 15 to not go to either Galway/Mayo isn’t saying a whole lot in fairness DB.
If there were to be a surprise it would most likely come from Sligo this year who seem to be getting their shop back in order under Kevin Walsh
Lazarus are you suggesting Tyrone intenionally lose games in the Ulster championship?
Tyrones defeat against Down last year in Ulster was the catalyst for their resurgance later in the Summer. Im not saying they intentionally lost it, far from it but in hindsight that defeat did them no harm whatsoever. Dont take my word for it Kibman, Micky Harte said as much himself after beating Kerry.

Yes in hindsight it worked out ok but the easiest way to win any championship is to win all your games. They were poxed lucky to beat Mayo in the qualifiers - the ref was a disgrace that day.
This is true but it is also true that of the four provincial champions last year Galway/Armagh/Cork/ Dublin only Cork(and thats just because they had a handy draw) progressed beyond the Quarter finals of the All-Ireland. A clear illustration of the old adage that winning isn’t everything.
You’d be throwing good money after bad, Down don’t have a hope in Ulster Dancing.
yea i’d fancy the winners of that game going all the way too and after wacthing this years league it doesn’t look like its going to be us:(
Agreed. They’ve been impressive in the games I’ve seen them in. Geezer has em primed well. I’d expect them to hockey us in the Leinster championship.
I say those lads were doing serious training from before Christmas. They could burn out.
Not a good enough reason for Dubs not to win Leinster.
Think Gilroy will be going to win well all the way building the teams confidence along the road. We’re not good enough currently to go much beyond 1/4 final but a bit of a run could see that change. Think the defence with Bastick and Brennan in the central positions is stronger than last year. Will they play there in the championship though remains to be seen
No chance that Galway are ‘nailed on’ in Connacht. Didn’t Mayo beat them in Salthill in the league costing them a league final place?
A massive, massive problem with the back door system is the non second chance for defeated provincial champions. It is just not fair.

Connacht is soft at the moment to be fair
Any of the 5 could win. Leitrim would imagine themselves beating the others on a good day. Sligo are third behind Galway and Mayo and the Rossies could actually be worst in the province
kerry will win it - the AFL player will swat any opposition- he is on a different planet compared to the GGA players in terms of strentgh & fitness & will be the difference from last year
Whats this AFL you speak of?
sorry - GAYFL
Ah, now I get you.

They are definitely a back to lay proposition Padjo.
They had a reasonable league, albeit in Div 3 and have their Under 21 lads to come back.
Not the worst draw in the world either. I expect them to get to at least the semi finals, upon which time the 12/1 will be long gone
