soz mate - active travel is my remit

Jesus Christ

On the day we passed a law in regards to keeping it in the ground and all

New law brought in about e scooters today too

Bro in law got a new Audi A6, fully electric. A pure disaster. A full charge gives him 200km. A quick 45 min charge gives him 70km. Work did pay for half of it as they want all their vehicles electric from 2022.

Given the choice he says he would have waited until 2023/24 to buy electric as there’s too many limitations at the moment.

Are they going to allow more powerful e-bikes.

E scooters are inherently dangerous. Tiny wheels. Balance challenged standing on a moving platform on uneven surfaces. The accident statistics around e scooters are informative. Worryingly a lot of occular fractures.

E scooters are the new way forward for urban travel. Lightweight devices you can fold up and take with you, rather than having private bikes taking up public space clamped to unsightly bike racks.

We need to start looking at SEGREGATED e-scooter lanes.

Does he drive 200km in a day?

It would appear not and in other news the daft cunt doesn’t know his daily mileage but agreed to the car anyway.

They are the rugby of urban travel. You’ll need your head examined if you ride an e scooter.

Powered scooter accidents were nearly three times more likely to result in concussions than e-bike injuries, and more likely to result in fractures.

Yes, blaming the ev for his own stupidity

Agreed. You would rarely see a scootist and go “that fella is not a complete dickwad”

Regulation and infrastructure will help bring the scooter to the great unwashed.
