Tis like everything in this fabulous country of ours. Rules for the sake of it. Box ticking, self praising, credit taking for fuck all.
My road to work will go from 80 to 60, then back to an 80 that wonât change. There was no one there this morning to catch the driver that over took me and 2 other trucks clocking 80 along a solid white line. AND there wonât be tomorrow or next week either.
Only more of what makes the grass grow.

It cant be that far away where every car will be forced to carry a GPS tracker which can then self police the driver. It will automatically ping any speed infringement without the need for Gardai and speed guns.
All new cars in Europe are being fitted with an alarm that you canât disable that goes off when you exceed the speed limit.

Excellent driving is a privilege not a right. The roads have become the sole preserve of cars, to the exclusion of all other persons, particularly in rural areas.

Should be putting cameras on the traffic lights too. From my experience of watching motorists, a very high percentage are colour blind when it comes to red.

Putting timers counting down the seconds to the lights changing might calm people down a bit.
A group of Young Scientists had this as their project this year.
