Of course it’d be worse than that Rocko, it’d be a travesty to be honest.
I’ve decided that Andrew Lynch would be the best option for SDC tomorrow

It would be terrible, i think people protect themselves by not letting the mind go there
Jump racing is a dangerous game. Everyone who loves racing is praying the man pulls through. Not much else you can do
Ha ha I know well he did. I was joking, he didn’t survive to win on LW either
I’m gutted here, just hoping for the best.
Hope he pulls through, it’s a dangerous fuck of a sport, and they are seriously brave men.
Us part timers are going to leave ye serious heads at it. When I come back in the morning I expect 5 or 6 pages of debate with a consensus for tomorrows bets reached on the last page.
Yeah I understand. I think comparing it to other sports - if there was a really serious injury in a soccer match (or even a semi-serious injury like a broken leg) then more people would probably talk about the injury than about the match. Obviously there are greater risks in jump racing and people don’t want to be speculating but I haven’t seen much mention of it in the mainstream media. Had to search for it on rte.ie for example (though that might be because they have the story as “McNamara in come after fall.”
Alderwood is a banker tomorrow
Yes that’s the idea Julio. Let the experts have a conclave overnight and post up the 5 or 6 winners we need by say 10 in the morning.
No disrespect to the man but he wouldn’t have won that race yesterday. He’s a gent but not in the same class as Russell, Walsh etc.
Rolling Star wins the Triumph
Quite the understatement!
Princeton Plains looks like a plot horse in the county. I actually like the other JP horse Its a Gimme and he carries the better handicap form the only reason i can see AP up on the former is that he’s under instruction
I know a few owners who christened him “slippery arse”
A real nice guy though.
Is there a backround to this story? Surely unusual for a jockey to retire a couple of weeks before the biggest event of the year. Would he have known he was up on Cullottys horse for chelt?
Think he was gone from Cullottys
Doyle was a great lad to ride a front runner, would seldom be caught. He rode my brother’s horse to win in fairyhouse a few years back. An honest sound skin which is rare for a jockey.
Princeton plains does look like a plot horse. Don’t know if I can bring myself to part with money on anything trained by Harty though. If only JP would stop funding clowns and send his horses to proper trainers.
The winner of the Grand Annual - Renard 33/1
Hope JT Mc is alright, prayers are with him and his family tonight. Hope the man pulls through!
Will leave the tipping for tomorrow!
Best wishes to JT McNamara. Awful news, hope he pulls through ok. I’ve lost a fortune this week but it’s nothing to what he, his family and friends will be going through now.
