Ballymun leisure centre has an excellent kids pool. Open to the public

I just drove my two from home to Aventura Coffee Shop at Portmarnock Train Station and back to kill 45 minutes. 30 minutes round trip and 15 minutes queuing, ordering, loitering. One of those days/weekends where they’re gonna kill each other being stuck inside because of the weather. There’s fuck all to do, as far as I can tell. A lot of those play zone type places closed during Covid. Something like a petting farm might keep him/you occupied and there are usually enough sheltered spots like barns, indoor viewing areas etc to dip in and out to see animals etc. Usually come with cafe/coffee shop option too. Somewhere like Newbridge House near Donabate might be an option if up that side. Not sure about city centre tbh.

It’s a changing world. Years ago we’d be regaled at this stage by the commotion at the airport, the pints in some dubious early house in Glasgow, the filling greasy fry, before marching bravely towards Parkhead.

Or the rubby before that.

If southside try Funky Monkeys in Dundrum and then let him walk / run around the Shopping Centre while you have a little perv at the lady shoppers

Absolute chaos in here at the minute. Lots of fathers who would rather be in the pub.

Lots of fathers who were clearly hungover and were told to look after the kids today. You could see it in their dead eyes. Anyway did the job, the young lad is shattered and his aunty is babysitting tonight while we go for pints.

Glad it worked out. There’s very little minding needed in that place. It’s also likely the lads other halves were swanning around the shopping centre

Next generation is in safe hands lads. We gots this!

Pity about the awful colours.

Black and fucking amber, I ask you.

Would you not get them a Stitched Cooper?

She can wear the local club colours, please God she’ll go on to wear her county colours. But by Christ she’ll have a Black & Amber helmet!!

Sadly we moved from the glorious Purple and Gold of Kilmacud Crokes to the horrific Black and Amber of St Eunan’s. We may give Letterkenny Gaels a go just to avoid the shame.

@Locke is a stones throw from the greatest football club in the country, that helmet might as well be for growing potatoes

A great club, but they’ve moved from their traditional base, gives them much larger numbers but I think a lot of what made them great has been lost in that.
But their stars always give back, you could have two ex Cork seniors coaching the u8s

I’m sure they’d welcome @Locke and his brood, they’ve always taken hurling quite seriously as well
