This will become the norm in the next 20 years.

If he is worried about $50k now he wonā€™t be too happy when he sees what a child costs

I was solo parenting from the afternnon yesterday and last night. The forum will be glad to know I nailed it. Unfortunately Iā€™m currently in brownie point debt and that will barely get me back to breakeven.

Itā€™s just ā€˜parentingā€™ even when youā€™re doung ut on your own.

ā€˜Solo-parentingā€™ is something that Instagram Karens made up for attention purposes.

I know lads who canā€™t meet up as they are babysitting. You canā€™t babysit your own kids, mate.

By God on this occasion
Itā€™s great to be old
What a world weā€™ve created

:clap::clap:

Fuck me im due a medal sošŸ™„
Most fulfilling time in oneā€™s life
If u get the opportunity to rear a child
Unfortunately in this land
It also means financially itā€™s a bloody strain big time
As the basic childrens allowance is given to one person
My ex received it yet Iā€™d our child since he was two and a half for a minimum of 5 days a week
My old school I chose for him was 12 km away
Twice a day
As was his secondary one
Besides GAA , martial arts , soccer etc etc
Was all bloody bobs
She got the various grants
But I definitely got the better deal emotionally
We have a strong bond
All his own important news
Throughout his life I was privelaged to be the one he told first
ā€œDad I was picked for the team ā€œ
ā€œDad I got my grading ā€œ
ā€œDad I got enough points for UCC ā€œ
ā€œDad I got inā€

Last night coming back from Waterford
ā€œDad Iā€™ve got some newsā€
Hesitantly asked
ā€œGood or badā€
Good

ā€œGo on i says ā€œ
Iā€™ve got a girlfriend!

ā€œ Thanks for picking me up and I love you ā€œ

He told his old man first and I know it sounds childish but I was chuffed

Weā€™d some serious shite times ref money
But all worth it

This country needs to recognise both parents every way
Officially weā€™d joint custody
Reality was she was working away getting all the benefits going
And this is going on all over the country

Family courts are a joke
Iā€™m Irish
Sheā€™s Romanian yet she applied for and got free legal aid and a solicitor

I applied for partial aid and was put on a list with a 3 months wait
Represented myself eventually
Nightmare

Journey done now thankfully
This daddy and all all dads who look after their kids emotional and financial well being before their own take a bow

The most important question here is, is his girlfriend from Waterford?

I showed a great aptitude for this from the very beginning which Iā€™m slowly starting to realise was a massive mistake.
