The older lad started counselling start of September. Was once a week and now every 3 weeks.
Definitely has helped. We still have bad days but less and less.
At the same time he started going to gym with his pals. He never liked sport or any activity. To him they were all shit or more shit.
Anyway so far heās taken to the gym like a duck to water. Goes 4 or 5 times a week now and asks to go. Itās been really shocking as I never would have thought heād like it so much.
Talking about his max bench. Weighing himself to see how much protein he needs to eat
Itās been a great few weeks so hopefully weāve turned a corner.
Center Parcs is unreal good. Thereās no reason to be going abroad for holidays. The tropical paradise is 29 degrees all year round. Flights should only be used for days trips to London for business meetings. We can get our Vitamin D from Holland & Barrett.
It was lovely to have chat with the senior @Bandage junior about numbers and birthdays.
Heard itās great. Weād only be able to go during peak times and the cost of it would put me off it completely, but have many friends who went during off-peak, giving a handy two fingers to the education system, and have saved a heap.
Our youngest chap only turned 2 in the summer and heās old enough to fully enjoy it now. He could go down the slide in the kidsā section of the pool on his own and his queue skipping while ignoring the traffic light system was a joy to behold.
You donāt have to book the pool now, but the other activities need to be booked on a pay-as-you-go basis. You stick in your kidsā DOBs and these activities have age ranges as you book them. I think you might be blocked from booking anything that has potential insurance implications (e.g. where you leave them on their own for a chocolate making or science class or something) if theyāre outside the range. But it doesnāt block the harmless stuff if theyāre outside it (e.g. a 2 year old going to the teddy bears picnic with a parent even though itās tagged as 3+).
Aside from those age quirks, I still think there was plenty enough for 2+ with art/messy play class, musical movers, wall ball (interactive game on a squash court, throwing/kicking/lashing balls at a virtual goal, dart board projected onto the wall etc), boat rides, den making, pony rides etc. Older kids have more age appropriate stuff like ziplining, off road cars etc.
Plenty of restaurant options, supermarket too, chalets are grand. Only thing is no washing machines so pack accordingly. Or else drive to Ballymahon and use the washer/dryer at the petrol station! Hard to know how youāll be fixed or when youāll want to eat on holidays, but you should book at least a couple of restaurants in advance as they book out.
