Youngests boyfriend is working his way through an electricians apprenticeship, from what I am hearing he’ll be on some coin by the time he qualifies next year.

Fair play @Locke . The insistence of some parents to push kids that are patently unsuited to it into third level is ridiculous. I know very few poor tradesmen and the poor ones i do know are lazy cunts.

I know Ben is talking about it alright, and is taking Engineering and Woodwork in school. So hopefully he has a flare for it. He did Home Economics for the Junior cycle and loved it.

Youngests boyfriend is working his way through an electricians apprenticeship, from what I am hearing he’ll be on some coin by the time he qualifies next year.

I can’t take too much credit here, the youngest two will be going to college, and in Cork! The 4 year old and I had a bit of time together there last weekend - had to charge the car so we went into the Bons and hooked up the car. We had her balance bike with us so we went down to UCC. I was in her ear saying to her this is where you’ll go to college and this is where Mummy and Auntie Angela (Downey) went and isn’t it great etc etc. Had all those hopes and dreams for Ben & Jerry but know now it’s not for them.

I didn’t realise you were married into kilkenny gaa royalty. My da used to talk a lot about Shem Downey. If i recall correctly he used to say Shem was at his best were kilkenny were shit.
