Little one gave her Daddy a big smile today that nearly brought a tear to my glass eye. She’s been smiling for a while but today was the first really legit one I got. A wonderful moment.

Actually one of the better ones I’ve seen lately is Bluey, about an Australian family of Blue Heelers. I wont go into the deep plot lines or give away anything, but only 7 or 8 minutes long each and can be humorous for adults watching whilst kids love it too. I think it is on Disney Junior, or on all good dodgy IPTV series collections.

It’s all good. Proper old school parenting. Being here all the time gives much more scope for being fair. I’d feel bad sometimes if I’d collect the kids late normally and you’d be know they’re tired and cranky and so could I be. I’m with them all day for most of the last 6 weeks and it’s been savage. A lot easier to say no and take whatever onslaught comes, and great to just be hanging round and buzzing off the day, Bike rides and playing football. Have got a good routine going now and all is good. I had an hour or two to myself yesterday and it was weird.
Also, I fucking smashed it today. I’ve got personal video messages for the kids from 2 of the teachers from the Home school hub from a mate who sorted me out.
