Thanks for input, team. Think we’ll need to tell him more forcibly to go home next time he shows up at our house (cc @Mac). We’ve done the softly, softly approach and said that we’re not heading out now but might be out later and he sits at the gate and comes back and knocks again regularly!

@caulifloweredneanderthal - we don’t know the parents at all. I just have a vague recollection of some woman playing with him that first day.

@binkybarnes - never mind Fritzl, my life partner got spooked by his chat today and was going on about the Jamie Bulger case afterwards. On the other hand, he’s been calling to our house for over a week and we could be the Dublin 5 version of Fred and Rosemary West for all his parents know.
