Was hoping weād be able to hold off for longer but heās bored stiff. Both of us wfh so donāt have the time to keep him busy. Refuses to go outside unless one of us is with him.
Needs a brother budš
Has he got a tablet? You can download lots of age appropriate games and itās a lot cheaper. Iād hold off on PlayStation for a while if you can.
Little Johnny is a dinger on the ipad. He can make it sing so he can.
You can put it done in front of him at 9am and you wonāt hear from him till heās hungry around 12.30pm. I donāt know how we managed without it.
Our lad is 6 and we got him a switch for Christmas - heās used it maybe ten times. Much prefers games like roblox on the iPad where he can chat with his pals/cousins while playing. Not the healthiest I know but at least heās having interactions with others and we limit the time.
This is a big hit with our eldest and once you timebox I find there isnāt an issue. Sheād play it all day if she could.
Mine are stone mad for roblox, they get their 20 minutes a day each,
Among us seems to me the new thing though
madame is addicted to that as well. shec spend all day on it as well. thank fuck for sky broadband buddy
Yes, she has a big decision to make soon. A few of the friends are moving to Among Us and she can only pick 1.
Whatās timebox?
Little Johnny get 1 hour on a friday afternoon for example
Ah I thought it was an app that shuts it off after an hour. If thereās not one there should be.
There is no unringing that bell if you give him a console. Youād be better off plonking him in front of the telly for the day. I see a nephew of mine is completely addicted to his one itās shocking
Will hold off so. Iāll set him up on TFK and we can argue with each other online.
My young fella operates the @Tassotti account its handy enough he only had to learn three or four phrases. He is 5 too maybe they can be pals
Ive come across lads at post primary with huge addiction issues. I talked to an expert on this before and she made the point that when a kid fails to get to next level, all they think about is the mistake they made and what they would do differently. Its like a lad who plays poker and goes on tilt. Leads to poor sleep, little or no concentration in class.
He has developed a very snide opinion of Paddy lately. Iād be knocking that out of him.
Frankly, I was surprised you let him away with it for so long.
