I’ve bookmarked that post.
All things in moderation including moderation.
Don’t mind them.
Aren’t they buying bottles of whiskey to bate the band.
Mickey no friends
I’m into opera now
One of the worst hangovers I ever had was on my 30th birthday
It was a Thursday night and I remember we got back into tel aviv around 11-30 pm after work- we were young lads – working like dogs but not giving a fuck
Anyway went out around midnight – it would still be 27C at that hour and the humidity was unreal, there’d be sweat pouring off you
It was a typical summer night out , wandering into dark , packed boozers , filled with smoke and techno blasting out from them, usual night out drinking flat warn Tuborg red, whiskey chasers and chain smoking LM blue
I remember waking up with the sun beating in on me and no water in the place around 2pm….mother of fuck,
Once you hit 30…. Itll go downhill but you still go on the piss
By 40 tho, youre conditioned with young kids at this stage,so the habit is well broken as you simply cant do it… which is brilliant as then you can have the few cans with the indo on a Saturday night
If you’re still drinking 8 pints on a friday night at 40 it fucking wont end well for you
This is it, why would you still act the way you did in your 20s when into your 30s and 40s in any aspect of life? Most lads in their 20s don’t even enjoy half the nights they’re out anyway, they’re compelled by fomo or social pressure…or their mickey.
Thrun down on the couch for the day the next day then, flicking through social media for hours on end half in a state of fear and half perving on young wans…and only moving to get a hot chicken roll and lucozade from the local deli and/or a takeaway that night.
Some lads never grow up …
You’d have to wonder about any lad with kids still doing that …
Spot on.
I’d save a good session for a wedding, stag or an occasional random one here or there. I’d say I haven’t had a proper hangover in 2-3 years. I did drink six pints or so one night over the summer. As a young lad that wouldn’t effect you but I felt ropey the following morning. Five or six on occasion is lovely. No real harm comes from it.
My Mrs hasn’t taken a drink in nearly four years and she said she can’t see herself going back.
I think we can all agree that we should become stoners
The dream. Jesus take me back.
I haven’t had a hangover or been drunk in a few years. I’d have a few pints alright but leave it at that, but I can’t see myself going back to getting langersed again. I don’t miss the hangovers one bit.
I’d have a bottle etc with food on weekends, so something usually on a Fri, Sat and Sun.
I’ve been listening to a podcast on this and saw this article today. Therapy and treatment should be the preferred solution rather than pharmaceuticals
Went up to a Ryanair flight the other night cos I heard 4 gentlemen were fleeing the war-torn Spanish island of Menorca. On my way up to the plane I got an awful pain in my chest and had to sit down. Went home and thought little of it, but couldn’t get one wink of sleep. Yesterday the same again. Spent the whole day wound up to the nines, like my skin was crawling. Again not a wink of sleep. Felt like my skin was crawling, couldn’t relax, couldn’t switch off, couldn’t even concentrate.
Eventually went to the doctor yesterday. Anxiety he reckons. Never had it before. It’s not very pleasant.
And what did he prescribe? Exercise, rest, diet?
In fairness, youve had a rough time lately so it has to come out some way. Anxiety can hit especially when youre over tired… But youre over tired because youre anxious
If it keeps up go talk to someone
Can you pin point what brought it on?
No, not a clue
Xanax
