When youāre in youāre in and you make it work and the EV market is progressing. Not sure about the depreciation thing having equalisated just yet but not far off with newer battery technology.
The car market in general is gone bananas. I bought my current car in 2022 for 7k and Iād get 5k for it today. Iām happy to keep until it lets me down which it hasnāt yet, my driving needs are minimal enough with WFH 75% of the time.
My young fella travels the country in his electric yoke and his range isnāt mind boggling but heās not been caught out yet
Lovely bloody car Peugeot 5006 ev or something
Saving big time compared to the fiesta he had
Even paying for the fast charging at junction this n that,
If Iāve a few bob next car is definitely electric
( Iāve driven hybrids for years but need a bit of comfort now)
All mine were frugal like myself,
But tinny- hard rides-
His yoke is like sitting on a big fat comfy armchair in comparison
The hipster really couldnt be a more appropriate name for an ev.
They are coming, but far from there yet. Kia bringing out 3 new models at the end of last year helped too. The more scope for the selection, the better it is all round.
anyone can by an annual membership if you are a non telsa owner, 90 pound for the year, not all the telsa chargers are open to non tesla owners though, but still plenty of them, I can charge my yolk from 10 to 100% in 45 minutes with the battery warmed up
My kid manages it
But heās patient ( could spend hours editing photos after a match)
So he can afford to stop and recharge.
Can be done if one has time ,
But I would not dream of driving further away than Dublin from Cork in an EV.
