The Galway Criticism Thread

I imagine Forster Court would enable him to better invest emotionally in Galway than Renmore.

Renmore is okay but lacking a bit of soul. In terms of things to do there it has a decent pitch and putt course, a good GAA club in Liam Mellows and a good gym with a swimming pool.

There’s limited parking for residents. Dont live in renmore its bland. You might not have appreciated it from your trip but its a very small city. You dont need to be too worried about being on the ‘right side’ like you do in dublin or other places. Id go for foster court as suggested here. Or anywhere along college road. You’re in town but a few minutes handier walk for mervue.

Have they given you an indication of when they’d like you to start? April is a long time away and they may not be able to keep the position open. Of course they probably would for someone at your level of seniority Nembo, but it pays to ensure everyone is crystal clear on their intentions in these type of negotiations.

Having lived in ballyban for a spell I can confirm it is a shithole.

Foster Court or anywhere along College road is a great location if you are working in Mervue. The only down side would be having to endure Connacht fans parking in your lawn on match days.

Is it true they play at a dogtrack?

Yeah, you couldnt make it up.

Muppets queuing in the pissing rain at 1 o’clock in the day to get into the Hole in the Wall. Would you be well?

We must have the most unimaginative young people in Europe.

Would they not just hire a few buses and actually go to Donegal. Wouldn’t that be a lot more craic.

Good core republican vote there.

The chances of damaging one’s clothes at such an event is quite high, I would imagine. Also, it’s not like anybody will be sober enough to notice what he’s wearing.

Good thinking on his part to wear them, I would say.

Much like picking out your attire for a Sunday in The Church in London I’d say.

Will this be like student day at the Limerick races? ie further evidence of the decline of Western Civilisation.
