It’s really badly needed, but at least it’ll help keep the hicks from oranmore and the like out of the west bank.
I’m surprised @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy opposes it as it would greatly reduce carbon emissions once finished.

Do new roads allevaite traffic ? That is debatable
Ultimately ring roads are not going to solve the traffic problems of a linear city built between an ocean and a lake.
What Galway needs is a superfast boateen service.
We need a GLUAS from Oranmore to Barna.
One of my occasional daydreaming thoughts is figuring out the route of the line.
This road would knock journey times from West of the city across the river massively, like by up to an hour to do 5 miles. That’s a long time extra an engine is running.
The M50 has done nothing for transport in Dublin. It should be closed down.
