The GGA's woeful TV ratings- Why so

He could very well be. Much like senan the drink driver tends to be.

Just goes to show, hurling is box office ā€”

Did anyone think that people in the UK would watch Meath and Donegal when the Wimbeldon final was on, the Cricket world cup that England were playing in or the Silverstone grand prix? Or should they be targeting the UK audience or something? And even at that, it was up against the Cork Kilkenny game in the hurling.

Sky are only using the Gah as a schedule filler in the UK for the summer when thereā€™s fuck all on. Sweetens up the subscriptions for their Irish customers as well, all for a relatively low cost.

Why is Darren so concerned about how many vicars in the shires watch GGA ?

There had to be at least one viewer based on the fact that the IPTV servers have to be pulling the feed from somewhere

apart from the IPTV, it doesnt count Now TV viewers or those watching online through legitimate sources. The sky figures have always been incorrect for all sports.

There is a large group second and third generation of Donegal folk living in the uk.

The GGA told everyone that selling out to Sky was to boost popularity in the UK and to allow UK ā€œGaelsā€ to watch.

This is a confirmed lie but there are very few in the Irish media who will call out this greed.

Would the Ulster lads not pay for a Sky Sports subscription.

Once you go below a certain threshold of viewers then itā€™s just a rounding error in the overall calc, all they can say really is not many people watched it.

They are using it to boost Irish subscriptions.

Expanding the game to the UK and catering to expats was a lie, the GGA took the cash and removed games from FTA.

Great to see a voluntary inclusive organisation like the GAA mugging those cunts off.

You mean the GGA who in their greed forced these kinds of things to happen.

People are slowly waking up to this charade.

should all sports be free to air? should every game played be on TV live?

An organisation that is self styled for the community and volunteers shouldnā€™t be taking games off FTA.

Great community spirit in evidence there Tim. Thatā€™s what the GAA is all about.:clap:

Looks like the local peasants in famine times going up to the ā€œBig Houseā€ desperate for food.

Of course the GGA is grounded in the Big House mentality.
