The Glastonbury Thread

Covering an Ed Sheeran song now

Another scourge.

Who’s this rapper, lads?

He has his underwear a few inches above his hips and his trousers a few inches below.

Pride weekend in flow as one black lad starts feeling up another black man’s pecs.

These chaps are gay, yeah?

This music, for a style that seems very high energy, is very fuckin boring.

Boom :sunglasses:

BBC 2 only showed one song by them there but I was impressed by Pale Waves

The song had one of those riffs that I knew I’d heard before somewhere over the last year or two - very Cure/New Order-ish

They’re from Manchester and appear to have all the right influences

I was very taken with the singer

This was the song that was shown from their performance

Dublin’s The Fontaines DC on here on BBC2

I presume the DC bit of their name is a nod to the Frames (DC)

Did they just try and censor the that song of theirs there on the BBC belatedly after the “Brits Out” line.

Boys In The Better Land is a cracking tune so I listened to some of their other stuff, fairly flimsy behind it.

There was some sort of cut out alright

I’m only watching on a stream so not sure was it censored

This Idles band are like Sham 69 for younger Brexiteers

I can imagine this being on the soundtrack for the 1979 dystopian film set in Essex “Bloody Kids”
