The hiding they dished out to Offalyâs B team definitely backs that up.
They have teams. They plug away but they arenât going to be the answer. Kilgarvan is too small and Kenmare is big ball first. Unfortunately for them they are very isolated from the rest of the clubs and itâs hard to get games etc.
Thereâs actually a bit going on in Killarney at underage these days.
Listowel should be targeted as there are hurling clubs nearby as well.
But while the Kerry county board are fairly good to support hurling. They donât actually want it to tdo that well either. The championship will be played off quick fire to get it out of the way so the football can proceed unhindered.

Wouldnât expect or need proper coverage of the Joe Mc games, unless there was nothing else happening that weekend. The single camera, commentator coughing into microphone 90 seconds before throw-in approach would do just fine.
Coming back 15 seconds after throw-in for the 2nd half with the joke about the tae and sangwiches from Mary in the Clubhouse holding them up
Joe McDonagh is screaming out for the TG4 treatment. Put the matches on Saturday evenings before the big games on Sunday
The majority of the games are played around 1pm on a Saturday. No fucks are given about it

The 1948 Waterford All Ireland minor winning team was drawn from just 3 clubs. 6 Cappoquin, 5 Mount Sion, 4 Dungarvan.
Could even have a few Friday night games on tv as well, as long it doesnât include Antrim or Kerry.
Having a game at 7:30 shouldnt really be a big logistics issue for the Midland teams like Laois, offally, westmeath etc

It gets better. Of the 7 subs, 5 were from Dungarvan, 1 was from Mount Sion and 1 was from Ferrybank.

yes but as Julio summed it up Kilgarvan is very small and football has taken over in Kenmare
Both have always played hurling but really it has gone backwards there, when Kerry beat Waterford in 1993 there was 4 players from Kenmare \Kilgarvan, 3 playing 1 sub. Now they have a single player on the panel
There is a Donal OâSullivan from Kilgarvan warming the bench for the kerry footballers, he is a dinger of a hurler that could spark some life into the kerry hurlers. He was the first Kilgarvan club man to play national league football for kerry

Wicklow starting to turn the screw now. Theyâve stormed back in the second half.
Think it was 50 odd minutes before they were ever ahead in this game but are much stronger coming down the finishing straight, knocking over some lovely points.
Got a bit nervy there after the Luke White goal from the free but they held on. Thereâs no reason on paper why Wicklow shouldnât be able to emulate the likes of Carlow. Border Wexford and have the advantage of Bray playing the hurling league in Dublin.
