My aul lad was a Kildare hurling selector in the 1970s. A game clashed with my older sister baptism.

I don’t need to be in the church he said to my mother. I’ll be at the game.

He backed off eventually and went to the baptism :grin:

Kildare fitter, stronger more productive. Saying that we hit 11 wides in the first half, got gifted a goal in the second and never kicked on. Let the recriminations begin

Hard to believe that Laois pushed Tipp to the pin of their collar in the QF in 2019 and here they are now, getting hammered by Kildare.
