The Let Kev at your Back thread

Puke, that sounds like Lockjaw. Have you had a tetanus jab recently?

Back from A&E and it isnā€™t fractured thankfully. Suspected nerve damage to one of my back teeth, have to go see the Dentist Thursday morning. Have the feeling that a fractured jaw may have been cheaper in the long run :shakefist:

You poor cunt :frowning:

Sore one mate-check in with Bandage he should be able to give you good dentistry advice.

that and a bit of much needed ear rest for yer missus

Had my visit with the Dentist and thankfully it is nothing too major. A couple of minor fractures to my lower back left tooth below the gum line and an imflammation to the ā€œslingā€ that holds the tooth in place. As the fractures are small there is no need to remove the tooth. Have been given a course of anti imflammatories and have to go back again in a weeks time.

I too would like to echo Bandageā€™s sentiments about the Dental profession. I had a very nice Asian lady dentist who was both sympathetic to my plight and quite gentle in her approach.

Sounds like a result.

Two payments of Ā£65 which the club will cover   :pint:

The cheapest thing the club could do is buy you a ticket back home.

I have a dull aching pain in my left testicle todayā€¦ I did a bit of training yesterday, so I may have just strecthed something within the vacinity, but itā€™s most uncomfortableā€¦ Iā€™ll keep you posted.

Threatened torsion palā€¦donā€™t neglect getting it sorted

Maybe iā€™m a little blocked upā€¦ Iā€™ll knock one out in the handicap jacks in a while and see does that improve things.

That pain is coming from your back, possibly your sciatic nerve.

Have a look at these stretches.

Watching that really helped my testicles!

Now that you mention it, my lower back is stiff this morning. And I do suffer with a little sciaticaā€¦

folks whats the verdict on fixing fractured fingers that are not causing you too much bother? about 6 months ago I bent my little finger backwards trying to catch a sliotar i should really have put the hurley to. A few weeks afterwards the same finger took a similar bend making a save playing 5 side soccer

It wasnt painful at the time. When u d catch a ball u d get a dart of pain alright but that was about it. I thought it was just a bit of bruising and swelling. Anyway when that subsided it was obvious that me little finger was banjaxed somehow as it was crooked bent sideways and bending downwards towards the top. At the time there was a few games coming up so i left it go rather than seeing a doctor or splinting it up.

Got it x rayed last week. Apparently is fractured in two places one which is malunited and other which may be ununited. I think that means one fracture has fixed itself but the other may not have

It doesnt give me much bother but twould annoy you doing close drills in hurling when you are catching the ball continiously. I have good movement in it. No pain just doesnt feel quite right when you bend it. U d feel a bit of a twinge when you close the fist.

There are two school of thoughts amongst those whose views I have canvassed

One is stop being a woman and live with it

The other view being to fix it up as it will cause me bother later in life. The problem with this is that it probably involves breaking it again to fix it which would involve spending a few bob! I have an appointment with a lad next week - ortho surgoen who is charging ā‚¬150 just to see him.

whats the verdict lads - leave it or go about fixing it?

air con in work, killing my nose #firstworldproblems

any solutions gents

It happened when hurling, I presume you reported it then, then youā€™re covered on the insurance, go get it fixed on the insurance.
