I reckon I have a hyper extension injury to my elbow going back to a match that was played nearly 6 weeks ago.

That’s about as close as you came to ever playing a match alright.
How could someone hyperextend their elbow masterbating?
I have a lump on the outside of my left ankle just below the joint. Not sore to the touch but have a bit of discomfort walking on it. It is probably the 5th or 6th time this has happened in the past couple of years. Anyone else have a similar issue, normally goes down after a few days rest.
Have jarred and sprained the ankles countless times in the past, presume it is the legacy of this

Sounds like scar tissue from previous ligament damage.

I have something similar to this except it’s permanent. It looks pretty much like a second ankle bone, it was a result of ignoring doctors advice and continuing to play on it after sustaining ligament damage. Apparently the ligament doesn’t heal properly and calcium can grow in it’s place (or something like that). It caused a fair bit of discomfort for 2 or 3 years but was grand after that.
That’s common enough, go get rid now or you will be crippled with pain later in life. I forget the name for it but if you read any article on turftoe this should also pop up.
I’m assuming both you got got this from sporting activity, as it is also common among women from wearing high heels.

Seriously? It doesn’t cause me any bother these days? Happened in my early 20’s.
My brother has the same thing… I’m nearly certain that everything I read said to get rid or it could cause you problems later in life… I’ll try see if I can find some info on it.

Will or Could?
That’s the key here.

Well it depends on what it is really… You and chewy could have two different issues. Either a ganglion cyst or Hallax rigidus… It;s the latter I was talking about which can lead to arthiritis.
Sounds like you’ll both be grand lads. Try a stint at corner forward.
The Runt rarely tries a stint anywhere else.

Get a severe pain in it now for about 5 mins any time I over extend it in a match or training. After it happens once, it tends to be ok then for the rest of the game, but will flare up again the next night.
This is getting worse. Not better.
The advice you’re getting from a load of lunatics isn’t working so no? Might be time to try a medical professional.
Over my dead body
I got something like this a few years back after a bit of spar work on a punch bag. I rested it for about 2 months but it still flares up from time to time and I get a severe pain along my elbow and down the arm. Never really looked into so everything I just typed here will be of absolutely no help to you what so ever.
That’s solid advice CM, thanks. I’ll give it a go and see how I get on.
Except that you told us you got beaten up by a punch bag!
It looks like that is how it is going to have to be sadly-I for one will miss you bud.
