Saw these in Dunnes this evening and picked up a couple on the basis of this post Thraw. I’ll post my verdict in a bit. They’re chilling at the moment.
I prefer there red, but both are nice after the first one.
First impressions… Quite sharp, very tangy. Not unlike a badly pulled guinness that’s been sitting a while. Very strong though.
Stick with it…
Will do mice. I’m not one for throwing away a pint. Great story arc if it does come good though.
It’s a lovely stout, stick with it
Halfway through the first and the palate is softening. Still sharp but it’s becoming less tangy, more … distinguished.
Hmmm saw them in Tesco earlier and bypassed them… might try them next time.
Rum and ice with a dash of Coke here.
I’ve gone stone-mad for this stuff. Perfect for just having a handy few as the 6% hits you nicely and also perfect as a cure on a weekend morning as, indeed, the 6% hits you nicely. Very drinkable, easy on the stomach, lovely after-taste…it’s a superb stout. Better than O’Hara’s effort (which I also like).
It is oharas ? Told you to stick with it , it’s a lovely brew, I have another one you’ll like , will put it up later
Ah lovely… The hotel had a complimentary beer chilled in the room waiting for me. It was a pils called Bavik…lovely stuff too, touch of sweetness for a pils.
I need a drink. It’s been a long week.
I’ve worked hard, trained hard and I need to blow off some steam.
Just tucking into a few of these. The head in it doesnt do it justice… its not bad tack.
Going to have a few Zlaty Bazants tonight
if you like the leann follain, try this one…
OTT its called, its brewed in TOngham Surrey by the Hogs Back BRewery…very nice
Strong dark ale
Ah this thread is just wonderful. I love you all dearly…
I’ve added Jupiler, De Koninick and Duvel to the list thus far.
This truely is a wonderful country.

Antwerp is splendid city mate.
I’m stuffed and still picking away on a waffle… The bottle shop next door to the hotel is flogging beer for next to nothing… I was gonna have an early night and hit the exotic market at 8.30 in the morn… Not likely.
Tucking into some Brahma’s here, fine job.
