Did you find any difference? I don’t like cans anyway so my inbuilt prejudice might have coloured my opinion.
I had the 8 Degrees stout (Knock Me Down) recently. It’s pretty good. Nothing amazing but not bad at all.

Not beers but is anyone aware of any Irish craft whiskeys that have appeared in the last few years? Wouldn’t mind trying something new.
No I only ever drink Crested 10 and Downes’s No 9 myself Mac.
The Clontarf stuff is good. Connemara is good but that has been around for a while now.
Just having one of the leann follain bow. Great description, spot on. And while that sounds disgusting it is drinkable. Improving as I go on. Only having the one though so may not get to appreciate it fully.
I saw that one there too. The red ale was lovely now, small bottles so a nice beer to have a few bottles of.

I would say the fact you need to leave whiskey age for at least 4 or 5 years would negate against fellas just firing out “craft” whiskey to capitalise on the growing trend in the beer market.

That Downes’ stuff is pure magic.
I went a bit nuts today and picked up a few beauties. Starting with a nice Belgian beer, Ename, Smooth as hell with a kind of sweet, creamy taste. a solid 8/10. Moving on now to a personal favourite, a Carraig Dubh stout. It’s animal.
Carraig Dubh, lads, It’s the best thing to come out of Ireland since Richie Kavanagh. Pricey, but worth every fucking cent!

Having done the damage with the Carraig Dubh, I’m onto my personal favourite , the Lidl beer Perlenbacher. I love this shit. And amid the maelstrom I’m nicely juiced.
I’m in Belfast and the beer is fucking muck. Cunts have no appreciation… Everything from a tap tastes the same. I’m going to be ill for a week after this experience.
Sipping on a few Staropramen watching Shrek before I head out for a bite to eat. A truely quality beer.
