Most of the Little Creatures stuff is nice albeit a bit overhyped.
enjoying a couple of o’hara’s leann folláin here, nice tack, good full bodied bottled stout, i am very impressed
this may well become carlows first ever success at anything
I had an ale called Hurricane Jack on Saturday, it was fucking sensational.
Hurricane Jack opens with a quiet hiss, and pours golden blonde. There’s medium carbonation and a medium-dense white head that doesn’t want to fade. The aromas are grainy/biscuity with an edge of fruit, nothing overpowering. There’s a very light mouthfeel, but I can’t quite put my finger on the flavour. It’s very light, theres an incredibly delicate sweetness to it, and the aftertaste is bitter, but only a little. Almost a noble level of bitterness, I think.
that sounds good man where’d you pick it up brewed a few beers myself earlier this year I must start a new batch for Christmas , the smithwicks pale ale is fairly tasty too man if you haven’t tried it or copper coast from dungarvan co Waterford
Thrawneen has been clamped
Christ, you hardly think I’d describe an ale like that, do ye? “It’s lovely” is about as wordy as I get with a nice brew. Hurricane Jack is very very lovely though and I buy it in an offie in Harold’s Cross, the one that’s attached to a pub…not sure of the name.

That’s the one. Cracking off-licence. Though it’s an expensive enough business drinking such fancy things.
Who or what are you?
Hard question, I’ve been mulling over it all morning.
All I can say is that I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may incriminate myself.
That Super Bock they have out in the Algarve is a fine lager.
Sagres on the other hand is piss.
Agree with an earlier poster about the non alcoholic Erdinger. Not bad tack at all.
sipping a few Duvel belgians tonight, nice beer, kicks like a mule though
First time I blacked out on drink was on Duvel. Was drinking it like bottles of Guinness and then the legs went.
yes, its a tricky balance, im sitting on the couch so i think i might go for it
Have a blanket over you just in case.
3 glasses of Chateauneuf-du-Pape (not beer but on sale for a tenner in Tesco), a can of Old Speckled Hen, a can of Fullers London Pride and finished off with a half litre of Paulaner. Don’t think I could ask for much else drinkwise from an evening other than a glass of midleton to top everything off. How ales are always so unavailable in pubs in this country is beyond me.
That’s a solid night, Mac.
Is the misses not worried tho that this excessive drinking may be make you a little sterile? I mean, you are no spring chicken anymore. Or are you still in the honeymoon period?

Don’t be worrying about me mate. It’ll all work out Millhouse.
I hope it does, pal. Best of luck to both of you- Remember, pressure is for tyres.
