He’s a joy to watch. I’d go so far as to say Smithy and Marny are my all time favourite batting partnership.
No disrespect to Warner.
This is a really likeable Australian test cricket team

We end the day 2/221.
Great to see Smith back as skipper. Recognised as a true great of the game.
if there is one word I can think of to describe them it would be “mateship”
Very dull day of test cricket. The wicket is so flat and dead, as it often is in Adelaide, a side that’s batting second and is any way competent batting wise should be able to comfortably avoid losing 20 wickets and see it out for a draw.
agreed- they have the old digger spirit that we all love so much
Except England aren’t competent batting wise
The little terrier that is Jack Russell would be turning in his grave if he was dead. A real let off for Marnus.
I didn’t think that particular point as regards the frailties of the England batting needed to be laboured any further.
Confining Australia to less than 2.5 runs an over is not bad at all on such an unresponsive pitch but A horror show from Jos Buttler. 3 or 4 wickets down would have put a very different perspective on things. Going to be a long day in the field for England tomorrow. It’s meant to be 37/38 degrees.
Jesus Christ. I’d have caught that with my cap.
Lolz
Buttler Fingers living up to his name.
You pick the man who’s best with the gloves to keep wicket, which is Ben Foakes. It’s not as if Buttler is contributing a ton of runs to make up for his shortcomings as a wicketkeeper.
Buttler is not suddenly going to become a test quality wicketkeeper just like Root is not going to become a test quality captain.
A let off also for your prediction of Australia losing just 2 wickets today for 220+
Labuschagne on his way back to the pavilion on 102 but reprieved by yet another no ball, this time from Ollie Robinson. This is just utter farce from England now.
Labuschagne given out again lbw to Robinson - 241/3. He’s reviewing it. If England lose this review, they could just pack up and head home now. And it stands.
294/5
Lunch on Day 2. Australia 302/5
Who has lunch at 4.30pm ?
You called the first session perfectly @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy
Will be interesting to see what happens after dinner.
352/5 after 130 overs.
England just drifting aimlessly along since lunch not looking remotely like getting a wicket and trying to contain the run rate. Need to get Stokes back into the attack. He was good before lunch.
