Itâs not an either/or.
So you can berate an oldman who is at the heart of such an evil empire but donât see any disconnect or hypocrisy in sending your kid/s into the arms of it?
Btw, Iâm not religiousc at all. More just trying to understanding the thinking behind you can see benefit in christian values for kids but ignore them to berate an old sick man
I donât think that because you decide to allow your child to make the sacraments you have no right to criticise the hierarchies of the Catholic Church, including the Pope.
Bit hypocritical to welcome suffering on an oldman and then say you follow christian values tho
Seems mad youâd want them to be indoctrinated into one of the most despicable organisations on the planet.
Agree with you on the latter point by the way.
Where did I welcome suffering on him?
Fairly low to call a sick 88 year old man, who has devoted his life to helping the sick, poor and infirm âa prickâ.
And then seemingly has no problem with his kids being baptised, make their communion and confirmation. Hypocritical isnât the word.
Same fella probably wouldnât open his mouth about the Muslim rape gangs in the UK, because that wouldnât be PC, but happy to slate an old man who is very sick because itâs open season on catholics and Christianity.
In reference to oldman being sick:
Ergo, let him him suffer, he deserves it.
It is weird behaviour though when the man is sick (and you make things up about him).
If you wanted to make a big statement on the Church you would, easier to attack an auld lad then do something practical though. Easier to attack the sick than take away the bouncing castle party.
It looks like Pope @Fran is on the way out.
Wales won the Grand Slam in 1978 and 2005 so thatâs a good omen for Wales winning the Grand Slam this year, as well as Liverpool in the European Cup.
Hope @Tassotti is keeping well at this time
Fairly conservative early years but gelled into a great leader/ shepherd
Bravo
Its quite a tightrope you walk in being a thick ignorant fucking cunt but yet pure harmless at the end of it all. I dont know how you do it.
Spent 13 years working in a catholic school on the mainland so Franks word was always carried. He comes across as an absolute gent and want the best for those who struggle.
Yes the church is awful but being an Irishman abroad has meant Iâve come back to the church for one reason or another. Our ex PP(retired this yearÂŁ is a hero. He makes no bones about the âscumâ (his words) in the church. But says that itâs a community and most are good. Heâs a hero. I text him every week
Frank has tried to drive change but youâre not undoing 2000 years work in 7 years.
Iâm not some catholic fundamentalist. I now work in a Protestant school. Itâs the same religion essentially . So calm
It
Poor auld @farmerinthecity failed to read the room on this one. We have moved past the populist church bashing to a more mature reflection on the churchâs history, with the ability to separate the good from the bad and not throw out the baby with the bathwater.
