The Official TFK Coffee Thread

Skimmed the top 10, would Katy be from Cork?

No idea tim. But if you skimmed further you would see she has grouped the shops geographically so all the Cork shops are listed together, as are the Dublin stores.

Your Dublin centric focus is distorting your views I fear.

Ah my apologies. I saw Butlers there as Cork and was curious.

For the uninitiated, 3fe can be intimidating, but the coffee is so good that itā€™s worth persevering through the shame of ignorance.

FOAD.

Hard to know if it will hold your weight, but I much prefer a seat with a back.

Theyā€™re grand but Iā€™d prefer an aeropress or a moka pot.

Got a moka pot recently. Havenā€™t been blown away by it. In fact Iā€™d nearly say Iā€™m a bit disappointed with it.

Is your coffee ground for espresso?

Ya it is, I got a specific espresso type

When you fill the little filter are you levelling it off flush with the top? You shouldnā€™t tamp it down, just skim it off with the back of a knifeā€¦

Gentle heat is the key here for best results. Takes a bit longer but really brings out the taste.

This stuff is lovely from it

I told my pal at The Service Course that I preferred Costa coffee as it was A. Warmer. B. Larger (considerably) C. Better value (much), and D. At least we were the only lycra clad wankers in the place.
He left the WhatsApp group and is refusing to take calls :grimacing:
