The Official TFK Father's Issues Thread. I don't know how they do it

I could row in here and say it was eradicated and only reappears in unsanitary conditions, but that would be lies and kicking a man when heā€™s down.

Itā€™s going around mate. Chin up. Coconut oil orally and also on the rash is meant to be excellent.

Fuck. Having an awful time trying to get the dose into him. He wonā€™t take it or hiding it in yogurts or drinks donā€™t work either. Have to catch him in a headlock and half the time he pukes it up. Heā€™s only 2 1/2 so bargaining or threats donā€™t work.

Have you tried this?

There are a couple of good local gpā€™s round
here

I actually have one, theyā€™re fucking useless for their target market too.

I find D Hannon very good there in Raheen.

In a&e with the little lady. Poor little girl had a high temperature this evening. She has been hit with 3 colds one after the other.

Yes, you should fine with him.

Good luck. My experience of kids a &ĆØ is that if theyā€™re not dangerously sick theyā€™ll leave em there for hours

Best of luck with that taz, just had the shower blasting there to try and calm the effects of a nasty croupy cough with my 3 year old

That really has been a complete clusterfuck of a winter. Donā€™t think Iā€™ve seen anything like it for viruses and doses in general.

My daughters nose has been like a dripping tap with green snot for around 2 weeks now. Has little soars under the nose too. Doesnā€™t seem to want to lift either. When will it end!?!?

How high? We toughed it out at home with 40 deg for almost 24 hrs recently. I was freaked out big time but my missus was relaxed enough about it just kept him as cool as possible and kept dosing with calpol and nurofen. We knew it was chicken pox tho so didnā€™t have fear of anything worse

You want paralink for that.

Thanks. Switched to the paralink after day or two. But he was having rotten nappies so couldnā€™t be sure he hadnā€™t left the para in the nappy!

Oh thereā€™s one way you could be sure. Roll up the sleeves pal, its gotta be done.

A fella told me that itā€™s due to the lack of frost. He said if you have a nice crisp winter it kills a lot of bugs and viruses going around.

I think once the kids get to 5 or 6 the worst of this sort of stuff is over. We had about 5 winters of discontent with our oldest two but this winter has been grand. They are 6 and 8.

Iā€™d love to lift the roof off the house and let the wind sweep every bug and virus out of the place.

Carpet in the kids rooms isnā€™t helping I reckon. Might tackle that job later this year.
