Congratulations. I started crying with happiness when I read tbis
Has spent the last 9 months in her, fair chance thereās a bit of a bond built up, no?
Ah yeah, of courseā¦ Sheās only a day oldā¦ Sheās sleeping away in my arms alsoā¦ But she just kicks off as soon as you put her downā¦she refuses to be put down and is quite stubbornā¦ I donāt know where she got that from.
Iāll be around in 5 mins, put the kettle on
Aboy da kid!
Late to the party and only seeing this nowā¦
Mo cheol thĆŗ, a luchĆn agus go n-eirĆ an bĆ³thar libh.
Congrats mate, delighted for you, your life will never be the same, but in a good way.
Enjoy every moment with her, precious times.
Hi Bandageā¦
We were home in time for Friday Night Footballā¦ And mammy was sent up to bed while daddy and little princess bonded over that age old Irish tradition of watching the EPLā¦
I did the 1-6am shift to let mammy get a bit more sleep also and little princess just refused to settle in the cotā¦ Bit of skin to skin under my hoodie did the job while I watched the movie -Woman Walks Aheadā¦ Itās about the last few days of Chief Sitting Bull and some white do gooder artist who painted his portrait just before he was murdered. Sleep is the new gold in this houseā¦
I didnāt know how I would do it in fairness, but you just do it.
Thanks for inquiring and the well wishesā¦
Any of you lads have issues getting them to settle in cot at night? I know itās probably just perseverance but any tips welcomeā¦Iām an award winning swaddle champion already.
Presume you mean a Moses basket? From what I can remember you donāt put them in a cot until about 3 months. Just go with the flow ye will get into a routine after a while Iām sure ye are getting well meaning advice from all quarters but at the end of the day ye will do whatās best for the little one and yourselves. What did ye call her?
yeah, basket.
Truly delighted for you mate
Just suffer it and try not to go crazy from the lack of sleep. Keep an eye on the missus, postnatal depression is scaryā¦
Donāt have them sleeping all through the day. Visitors love coming in and cuddling them and making them fall asleep in their arms, itās all so cute. Not when they are awake half the night then. Can be hard to get them into a sleeping pattern but worth it to stick by it rather than letting them do whatever they want. Need common sense too, sometimes they just need a nap despite your best efforts to keep them awake and occupied
