Yep. Well underpaid in the creche. She’ll be looking for @briantinnion to go out every week. God bless any other couple who ask her to babysit though.

A friend of my wife uses a website where you can get professionals (teachers, crèche workers etc doing it as nixers) to baby sit your child.

They hired a young teacher one night for three hours to mind their toddler and as her bio stated that she can do meal prep they left her out the ingredients to batch cook a tangine and a stew. They paid her €50 for the three hours and were not impressed as the tagine lacked flavour.

They tried to book her again and the babysitter rejected the gig.

Wouldn’t underpay a Creche worker who has your kid 5 days a week. You’d get away with 10, 15 is grand if you have it to spend.

She’s no longer in the creche.

We’ll only be going out once a month so happy to pay a premium if it means we can get her when we need her.
