Thereās lads who have had a super run on top that would never have gotten it in any other era of civilization.

A mate observed to me yesterday that his tech MNC reckons AI canāt be much better than it is now as the data has been scrubbed so well to teach it.
Quality will regress with the data over time.

GitHub copilot rollout is ramping up in most places now, it wonāt change the world. It might mean a scrum team of 5/6 engineers will have a higher throughput in every sprint though AI assisting with quality mainly (component tests, unit tests)ā¦. Or they can drop an engineer and keep same output. Etc etc.
All the lads saying AI is overblown and isnāt up to much are on the dole in 3-4 years time.
