This may seem a bit stupid. Why would the have trailers seized? As in mobile homes?
Builders trailers, flat trailers, horse trailers ect. When you insure one you have to submit the chassis number and this is logged in some sort of database.
There is an ungodly amount of mobile/non fixed equipment stolen from rural areas every week.
