The Pretend Fitness 2 - the Turkish Get Up Thread

Light push session done today with some abs thrown in. Feel ten times the better for it.

Up and at them as Rainier Wolfcastle would say.

Good man. We’re all rooting for you. Hopefully it gets some of that tension out. Hope not to see you in the injury thread within a week.

Easy mate. The bile will upset your sensitive tummy and then you’ll twang an adductor and be out for 4 weeks.

I cured my tummy.

No deadlifts and i can gym as much as i want.

I now just have to mind my foot, shoulder, neck , knee…

Nothing like hitting legs to humble you and get a good sweat going. Especially when you finish it off with sets of Bulgarian split squats until you’re shaking like jelly.

Back squats kill my shoulders and lower back so have been embracing zercher squats lately. Up to 130kgs and no back issues whatsoever. Would recommend. Sore on the arms for a couple of weeks alright but other than that they’ve been a game-changer

Downside. You’ll visit your mother and she’ll think you’re shooting up when she sees the bruises on your arm

Is it the weight on your shoulders or pressure of the bar? Ive made clane shit of my shoulders and have limited flexibility, ive used a saftey bar for the last year and its made a big difference. It allows you to grip the bar on the front for a back squat removing pressure on the shoulders

Same as a kettle bell goblet squat really?

And the gymmix was born…

Kind of. You’ve to hold it for a goblet squat, it rests closer to you on a zercher. Plus you can handle a good deal more weight as your arms aren’t a limiting factor
