If it took him 4.5 hours to do 20, 6ish wouldn’t be far off the prediction for the whole hog

Under the 3:55 mate. 3rd marathon in a month after big effort on Berlin and Chicago. Happy with that. The last mile of Dublin is fucking unreal for support. Legendary.

Are you running New York next week?

Fair play kid.

I’m gonna enter next year’s one and smash the fuck out of that time. I’ll predict 3:20

As Patrick Swayze once sang “she’s like the wind… Just a fool to believe”

Look what happened him.

I’m only gonna do it to destroy @backinatracksuit’s time and then I’ll retire.

No. Valencia next. I need a small break now.

Fair enough. I have every faith in you of a sub 3:30.

Back from the gym, lovely deadlift and leg session. One of the benefits of not flogging myself to death yesterday.

Just notice there that I did my 400th ever run logged on Strava. I know we have a laugh about what we go out and do in terms of fitness etc but I can hand on heart say that running is one of the greatest ways of keeping in shape, keeping your mind on the right track and all round way of getting your endorphin hit that you can do. The few pound you’d spent on running shoes and apparel would dwarfed in comparison to what you would plough into counselling. It’s just fucking brilliant! If ever you need to work something out or life is coming in on top of you a bit, head out for a jog, you’ll be right as rain after it.

You’ll never regret a jog but you’ll regret not going!

You will when you bugger up your knee :frowning:
I am deeply unhappy.

You’d be better off going for a walk.

Just saw a stat there, 100% of lads that run long distances end up dying … a scary stat.

Are you guaranteed to need counselling if you don’t go running?

I’d rather the counselling

Long distance running is a form of torture — only sadists and masochists get off on it.
