I thought we should all be rowing rather than going for a jog to save us from injury.
Are you back running yet?

Nothing at all hbv.
But you seem to have a balance there. What do you work at?
Most people have absolutely no idea where to start. They are overwhelmed.
I mean i can build a website. I can build 85% of a house, i could fix my car if i soent enough time at it. I could raise chickens and have my eggs out the back garden. And so on.
Some i may choose to do in time. But if i need a website or a house or eggs, at the moment at least, i need aomeone else to provide it for me.
I’m not saying anything. I’m posting an article where a guy says that ALL personal trainers are scam artists.
And i disagree with him.
You can find an article for anything.
The most revealing thing is you are unable to make the argument yourself.
My point precisely, you can find an article for everything.
You have not made a point. You make no sense.
I dunno who said that but unless it’s out on the water which is lovely then fuck that IMO, rowing machines are miserable and most people I see using them in the gym can’t use them properly and will likely ruin their backs. I’m running a bit, went through a program of running reeducation in santry and had to make significant changes to my cadence and stride. Did a 10k recently without having done any training really for it bar the odd 20 minute jog here and there and it went fine. If I want to build the mileage up I will probably need a shot of steroid or two but I haven’t had the time to work on that in a good while.
I did make a point. You make claims and promises that are not vouchable. The whole industry of personal trainers is full of spoofers and you claiming to be one of the genuine ones is hogwash and self serving guff. All personal trainers will proclaim their methods to be the correct and alternatives to be charlatans. That’s why it is an industry flooded with spoofers.
Avoid the steroids if you don’t really need them bud. They’ll drain your bones of calcium in the long term. Save the injections for when you might really need them later in life.
I am running a marathon soon in the full knowledge that it is madness really. But I like it. I probably won’t do another one. 10km races are a good healthy distance that you can combine a bit of speed, strength and endurance. Anything farther is probably putting unnecessary strain on the joints.
A man here who created a funnel recommended rowing machines over going for a jog on a Sunday morning. Whatever about injuring my back, I think I’d go demented.
I don’t have a balance at all. I eat well 80% of time and exercise when I need it. I could go 2 weeks without doing a tap but what harm.
At work I’m either at a desk or behind a wheel. I just need something to keep me ticking over physically and mentally.
I genuinely think fellas not involved in sports but lifting all those weight s and on ‘programs’ are mugs.
Do a few push ups lads before and after your run.
I’ll give ye that bit of advice for free
Exercising is the new socialising
America spends billions of dollars on bigger and more destructive guns because their soldiers can no longer aim straight… The best way to take a shot is crouched/squatted down with knees bent… American soldiers can longer do this due to posture and sedentary life we now lead.
I don’t understand all the hating on this thread.
Nembo giving it loads about personal trainers, people will spend their money as they see fit pal.
As it was explained to me the inflammation may flare up in the same spot again once I build the mileage up beyond a certain point. A targeted shot of steroid into it allows me to keep going through that period and my body becomes accustomed to doing that kind of mileage without the inflammation kicking in.
I’ll get back to building it up at some stage and if the knee is ok I’ll do a marathon at some stage. Probably two, if I get one under my belt I’ll do the one along the Great Wall of China. I’d leave it that then. I enjoy weight training anyway and look and feel better than if I were just running. Can’t beat a long run to clear the head though.
It depends.
And you don’t have to lift weights. Majority of people with me don’t lift much for a good while.
But some people love it, especially women. They get addicted to it.
You, like all of society now, are confusing fitness (and i mean basic health & fitness) with athleticism.
And thats why there is so many injuries in things like Crossfit and why there are so many shit PT’s. They treat ordinary people like athletes.
I would say what i teach people in their ordinary lives is far far more effective for their health than the exercises they do.
Unless you are a 1%er, which you may well be, you will run into trouble at some point. And if you are a greyhound type then your external view of yourself (or anyone) can be a bit misleading health wise. Genetics matter, you may have picked tour parents well.
You never ever wake up with a sore back or tight shoulders or a restricted neck?
80% of the time is quite balanced really.
Who am i promising here?
And tou are contradicting yourself here by suggesting you know anything about me when you live 3-400 miles away, but i can’t have an aquaintance from up north?
How do you know weather i am good bad or indifferent?
Prove it. Contact my clients sure. You know where the web page is, they are are easy to find.
The truth is, you are insanely jealous of aomeone who does something they enjoy. As you clearly don’t enjoy what you do. If you did you would at least try and do a good job.
You have aimply exposed yourself as a bitter unhappy cretin. Your life seems really shit to be honest.
You come across as a stoner, but without the enjoyment of actually getting stoned.
The series is actually called:
“Bandage: Booking Tomorrow’s Bad Loans Today.”
Hashtag LOL.
I’m going to go for 2 separate 2km jogs separated by a 500m walk at 6.20pm.
The physio reckons I can manage 10 minute non-stop jogging and my calf strain is 90% fixed.
Huzzah!
Thats a very strange way to measure your injury. Put it at risk again?
This is exactly what i am talking about. If you are repeating correctly what he told tou then thats nonsense, in the truest meaning of the word. Its doesn’t make sense.
