The Pretend Fitness Thread

I always drink now on a Thursday night, that’s become my big thing in recent times. Saturday then I’ve started having afternoon pints in town (two usually), will take a break and i’ll always have a few Saturday night as well. So that’s two nights. 50/50 chance i’d drink on a Friday night too. All in moderation though, somewhere between 4-6 pints is all i’d have usually on those nights. Over 8 only if a big session is on. Sure that’s grand. Sure i’m running Monday and Wednesday.

I want you to own that 5k

You’ll be mortified with how i performed. I did 2km faster than I usually do (7.46) and I actually stopped at that point. It was too hot which didn’t help matters but I was wrecked at that point. I ran at 4pm when the sun was up, usually run early or late. After taking about 3mins rest I ran the last 3km with the garmin clock turned off. I just dawdled it. I was furious with myself, I think reading the comments here about all the flashy runs put ideas in my head to go out and do a PB. I had a big slice of apple tart with ice cream when I got home.

Don’t let that put you off. I know by your posts you are a very strong character mentally. A setback like this can actually be good if you use it the right way. I am right up for smashing that mile record above so I am. I am going out tomorrow night. Jog a mile to warm up and then I am going to give it to the fucker. Flat out.

Best of luck with that record attempt and thanks for the kind words of encouragement. I’ll get back on this horse.

TFK mile record is very prestigious

You’ll never beat mousey

sometimes I hit myself a clatter into the side of the head to cop onto myself and it works a treat

I didn’t get out tonight as my right calf was a bit tight after the weekend, as an aside, does anyone else find they jack themselves off a lot less when they are exercising regular?

That’s 2 different pictures you’ve posted up.
Maybe someone could multi quote the 2 for comparison. …
