The Pretend Fitness Thread

Kevin Ogar would be an exception in this regard, not everyone has heard of him

Kev,

Could you tell me everything i can do to combat injury ( if anything) in relation to our newest training regimen for our GAA team.

routine takes place after 10-15 min Dynamic warm up…

100m full pace, 10 sec rest x 6
4 min break
repeat

@caoimhaoin Have you come across this guy’s work? Naudi Aguilar - Functional Patters. All about core engagement while performing any/all exercises.

To the untrained eye, this type of thing doesn’t look too sensible

I’m not injury prone to be fair and I’m only looking for it to stay fit. I just want to do something that involves a bit of lifting and a bit of cardio it suits me down to the ground if it works out.

I can’t understand why a GAA team would do it on top of, or in line with, their training regime.

Kev has replicated in order to fix more of the ills of the country he hates.

Give up your job or go job sharing and become a semi-pro GAA player.

That looks like someone who has misunderstood MAS Running.

Basically the advice i would give wpuld take too long to explain and cost 100’s of euros.

I really don’t what to say, cos thats just dumb. And its GAA Coaching in a nutshell.

I can’t understand GAA.

That much is clear.

My cousin is a sports scientist claims that these lads are epo’d off their heads, and using testosterone for recovery. Any truth kev?

It’s widely known…they are all at the HGH.

Utter nonsense. I converse occassionally with one of the Scientists there and there is absolutely no way they are taking drugs.

This is typical bullshit from jealous/uneducated twaats (not saying your cousin, just whoever is making it up). Leicester have spent years establishing a great backroom team. They hot ahead of the game, and they had some other advantages. The big clubs are wreckless cos the managers are wreckless and this have buckets of money to be wreckless.

Interesting. He thinks it’s rife in all professional sports and bribes are keeping it quite.

This is known for years. They are all on the HGH

Imagine how small they’d be without it.

Scotland rugby is an interesting inclusion there Kev. Any particular reason. I wouldn’t be in any way qualified to assess their conditioning but they are bang average rugby team who look like they have plateaud under Cotter already.

Saracens are a great club. They have such a quality squad they have the luxury of significant rotation through season though which is a huge advantage. Contrary to perception huge no of first team are long standing and many developed through academy. They seem to mix things up a lot and do a huge amount of extra curricular stuff for bonding purposes.
