There’s an error in my story there - I was along the wetlands, just beyond the bridge so if you’re travelling from a distance, you would have seen me.
In fairness, a semi naked fun runner is probably not that unusual a sighting for down there.

Cardiac output sessions are a handy tool to work with them for less pounding.

Its also about muscle ligament and tendon prep.

You’re not going to stop lads like @caulifloweredneanderthal pounding the roads so he is right to do it a bit more strategically

Oh ya, i actually think his approach is ok once there is plenty of mixture.

I hate long distance running for majority of people. Some lads are suited to it, but anything over 10km is mental IMO. Its just a product of more is better that exists in society. And/or lads can’t find another thrill once a goal is reached.

However if you want to tun a 10KM or half marathon or full one you simply have to do long slow runs. It is a very long slow run ffs.

I’m interested in taking up some form of it but know fuck all about it really- but not for fighting/competition. Was looking at Aikido as it is nearby and sounds like my cup of tea… I take it that once you sign up it’s a big commitment ?

It is like learning to play a musical instrument. In this case the instrument is your body and the music is hand and leg strikes.
