It’s so bad, that it’s actually happening his other foot in the last few weeks (first time was ten year ago) and he won’t get it done. Hobbling around like a gimp.
Are there many hills etc. on that course? Tonight was night 1 of training - 6k wasn’t bad.
If the mind is strong enough you can get through it without roaring the house down. They give you something to clench your teeth into prior to entry.

If it’s the one I think it is, there are. It’s all trail innit so you’ll get a chunk of up and downhill. The downs can be trickier. Must look it up. I’m off the running for 2.5 weeks now, and gonna stay off it for another 4 weeks. Let a few injuries clear and coming back fresh
