The Pretend Fitness Thread

Oh i won’t give up both, but i might cut out the hurling, i’ll see. I played MSL soccer and some lads were very fit, others weren’t. Its not great, and the MSL has dominated national comps recently, which shows where the LSL is. The touch and passing ability of soccer players at the highest level of amateur soccer in Ireland is shocking.

Maybe you should listen to people who actually play sport, instead of someone like yourself who sits at home watching sky sports, drinking dutch gold and smoking weed.

So you carried out rigorous and controlled tested over several years, you might post up the results

you play football for some diddy team in clare- thats it- its the only sport you play-big fuckin deal

im a distinguished windsailer

I played LOI, it’s shit.

this discussion happened here 6 months ago- i backed up my points & eventually even the most ardent gga fans agreed with me

it seems you still have that dutch gold incident in your head & its clouding your judgement

Played soccer with some right fat fuckers too, What’s the highest level of amateur soccer??, played in a pub side in England one they kicked the shit out of one another, played in the US and the Mexicans are savage alright, they stuck me at back to win headers.

I’d rather not get into a slaggin match about soccer in Ireland it has come on a long way in a short time

I’d ask that you point me in the direction of that thread

no worries mate- look up to the right & you’ll see “search”

Standard of soccer in the west is pretty high

and what would one SEARCH for

are you that much of a retard you cant work that out?

MSL & LSL would have been the highest standard considering the LOI was pro up until last season, now you would say LOI is the highest amateur level. Lots of MSL players have moved up to play it now, so it shows where that is.

But in fairness i loved playing it, the only real difference between most MSL teams and the Premier AUL teams though was the pitches and facilities. Tha facilities at MSL have to be to a certain standard to be allowed in, so its decent from that point of view. A few of the top 2-3 teams in MSL would be very good though, full of former LOI players or guys who were good enough but want to work a job as well, so didn’t bother.

Played in the States and Italy too, the states is great cos the pitches are excellent, they hate the irish style though. Italy was a faster pace than the states, but their basics were superb.

list please?

I wasn’t sure what you ment the LOI or not, in all fairness I can’t question you knowledge of the MSL facilities because I never played in it but I played LSL and it was hit and miss

Compared to who exactly kev?
What other amateur leagues around Europe have you graced?
Have you done a comparison between the AUL / MSL and its counterparts in England or are you comparing it to what you look at on SKY every weekend with your old man
At lower levels of any sport you would expect the basic skills to be not as good as at a professional or higher level

the touch and passing ability of the best amateur gaelic footballers in connaacht yesterday didnt exactly look to impressive to me either compared to say Kerry in the second half of last years all ireland final.
Im quite sure last night the touch and passing ability of the ballincollig junior z hurlers left a lot to be desired also in comparison to say a more skilful team like Cobh intermediates.

You are really been shown up as a bluffer here on this thread kev with your copying and pasting of basic running plans from the Runner’s World website on -page 2, there is nothing worse than meeting a bluffer on the internet, id say most lads here are genuine on the level of sport they played and are very serious about it as it is deeply personal to them.
You on the other hand are just a poor WUM and most of all a liar.
